BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic men's tennis team, ranked No. 45 nationally, fell to the visiting #55 Liberty by a 4-3 score on Wednesday evening. This marked the first of three home matches this week.
The match started well for the Owls, who dominated doubles play. Florida Atlantic built a 2-0 lead with
Alberto Colas earning court #1 7-6 (7-4), 6-4 victory. With a 2-0 lead, the Owls then saw Liberty rattle off four-straight victories to clinch the match before
John Bernard could capture court #5 7-6 (7-1), 3-6, 1-0 (10-3).
FAU will next play host to Brown at 5 p.m. Friday and to DePaul at noon on Saturday.
