KNOXVILLE, Tenn./DALLAS – The Florida Atlantic men's and women's swimming & diving teams concluded another successful day at their respective conference championships on Saturday.
On the final day of the Atlantic Sun Championships, the men's team wrapped up the four-day meet with a bronze medal, adding to the four other medals earned over the course of the meet. They ultimately finished in third place out of six teams.
The women's side saw two individual school records broken along with a silver medal earned by freshman Bry Bellile.
Men at the ASUN
- Seniors Jake Bair, Jacob Rubin, Max Ahumada, and Jackson Kirk combined for the bronze medal winning time of 2:57.88 in the 400 free relay
- Rubin also swam to eighth place in the 100 free with a new personal best time (44.24)
- Dalton Lillibridge captured sixth place in the 200 breast (1:58.66)
Women at the AAC
- Bellile posted an impressive 1:48.19 in the 200 free finals to give her the silver medal. It is the first time an Owl women's swimmer earned silver or better since Maggie Casey in 2022
- Riley Trout has now broken the 100 back school record three times this season. Her time of 54.26 in the prelims was topped by a time of 54.24 in the finals
- Dolores Margni set the program record in the 100 fly with a time of 54.44 in the prelims and broke that mark in the finals with a time of 54.08
