DALLAS – The Florida Atlantic women's swimming & diving team wrapped up their second appearance at the American Athletic Conference Championships on Sunday.
Success continued for the Owls, who earned five spots on the podium and set five school records over the course of the four-day meet.
The final night saw a bronze medal as the team finished in fifth place with 417 points and a school record in the last event of the meet.
- Dolores Margni not only captured the bronze in the 200 fly, but earned an NCAA 'B' cut with her time of 1:58.82
- The 400 free relay team of Bry Bellile, Izzy Joens, Maggie Casey, and Julia Earnshaw closed out conference with a school record in the 400 free relay
- Megan Drover-Smith placed in sixth in the 200 back final (1:59.05)
- Nula Gow tallied eighth place in the 200 breast final (2:15.79)
This concludes the conference portion for the men's and women's swimming & diving teams. Divers will participate in the Zone B Championships, held from Mar. 11 – 16 and select Owls will compete in the CSCAA National Invitational Championships for the second year in a row, this time held from Mar. 14 – 16 in Ocala, Florida. The NCAA Championships are scheduled from Mar. 20 – 23 for the women and 27 – 30 for the men.
