BOCA RATON, Fla. – Florida Atlantic softball (8-4) was held to two hits in a 2-0 loss to Boston College (7-4) on Thursday night.
Boston College led off the game with back-to-back singles but was kept at bay by FAU starter
Trinity Schlotterbeck. The Eagles continued with aggressive play, scoring in the second and fifth innings.
Schlotterbeck gave way after four innings of work to
Ainsley Lambert who tossed the final three. The duo gave up six hits, a walk and hit three batters. Offensively,
Cammeo Presutti recorded an infield single and
Kamryn Jackson added a single of her own. The Owls were mounting a late game rally but saw their effort end on a web-gem play by BC leftfielder Zoe Hines.

- Trinity Schlotter moved to 3-2 on the year and retired three in four innings by strikeout
- Ainsley Lambert also had three strikeouts, but in three innings of work
The Owl Classic continues throughout the weekend. FAU will next play Rhode Island at 3 p.m. and FGCU at 5:30 on Friday. Columbia rounds out the tournament field and all games will be played on Joan Joyce Field.
