FAIRFAX, Va. – The Florida Atlantic men's and women's swimming and diving teams completed day one of the 2024 Patriot Invitational with two record breaking events and plenty of top three finishes on Thursday.
With Friday and Saturday still to come, both the men and women's teams are currently sitting in second place in their respective fields.

Women
- The finals started with a school record performance in the women's 200 free relay. The team of Ludo Pavia, Izzy Jones, Dolores Margni and Bry Bellile finished the race in a time of 1:31.57, besting the school record which was previously 1:32.30
- The winning continued with a 500 free victory by Cica Carvalho (4:53.27)
- On the diving board, the Owls took first and third in the 3m diving with Trinity McNall taking the win, (263.10) and Lola Dragosavac in third (254.65)
- The 400 medley relay concluded the day with another first place finish which led to another school record performance. The team of Aura Vilarrasa, Pavia, Margni and Jones recorded a time of 3:41.32, besting the previous school record of 3:41.47
Men
The Owls will hit the pool for the second day of the Patriot Invitational on Friday. The preliminary events will begin at 10 a.m.
