FAIRFAX, Va. – The Florida Atlantic men's and women's swimming and diving teams wrapped up day two of the 2024 Patriot Invitational with more program record-breaking performances and multiple high-placing finishes on Friday.
With just one more day left of competition, both the men and women's teams are currently sitting at the top of the standings in their respective fields.

Men
- The evening began with Peyton Ming taking the win in the 100 fly (47.88)
- The Owls grabbed another win in the 400 IM with Nick Shaffer recording a time of 3:53.03, a new meet record
- A one, two finish for the Owls in the 200 free saw Daniel Laureyssens in first (1:34.85) and Timo Paisley in second (1:37.12)
- In the 3m diving, Trevor Kuhn and Isac Faxius went two, three with total scores of 342.00 and 339.10
- The highlight of the night came in the form of a school record in the 800 free relay. Paisley, Logan Thornsberry, Shevchenko and Laureyssens clocked a time of 6:31.01
Women
The Owls will hit the pool for the third and final day of the Patriot Invitational on Saturday. The preliminary events will begin at 10 a.m.
