Sandy Owls Set for AVCA East Qualifiers

AVCA East Qualifiers Bracket and Results

BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic Sandy Owls continue fall play this weekend as they head to Tavares, Florida for the 2024 AVCA East Qualifier on Saturday, Nov. 2 and Sunday, Nov. 3 at Hickory Point.

Florida Atlantic will have three pairs competing in the top gold bracket. Ashleigh Adams and Marketa Svozilova are the top-seeded pair on the weekend. Julie Honzovicova and Kate McLaughlin are the Sandy Owls second highest-seeded pair at No. 4, and Klaire Vandeusen and Sloane Woolwine round out the gold pairs at No. 19.

The Owls will feature five pairs competing in the silver bracket. The Sandy Owls top silvers pair is Riley Baer, Kate Stoughton, and Olivia Strandberg at No. 10. Reese Edwards, Kelsie Roberts, and Mia Scanlon are seeded at No. 16, while Brooklyn Goedhart and Kendall Mignerey follow just behind as the No. 17 seed. Riley Baer, Cameron Knifton, and Shaye Wolf are the No. 12 seed, while Madeline Sides and Shantel Starling round out the Sandy Owls Silver pairs as the No. 33 seed.

In the bronze tier the Sandy Owls will feature two pairs. The top-seeded bronze pair features Riley Baer, Sofia Connor, Cameron Knifton, Kendall Mignerey, Kelsie Roberts, Mia Scanlon, Sydney Schroder, Olivia Strandberg, and Sloane Woolwine. The Sandy Owls' second bronze pairing is seeded as No. 3 and features Riley Baer, Sofia Connor, Kelsie Roberts, Sydney Schroder, and Klaire Vandeusen.

Following this weekend's competition, the Sandy Owls will wrap up fall play at the AVCA Fall Beach Collegiate Beach Championships on Nov. 17-15 in Huntsville, Alabama.
