The Sandy Owls are coming off a 3-1 weekend that saw them earn their first ranked win of the season over No. 16 North Florida, in addition to earning victories over UNC Wilmington and FGCU. FAU enters this weekend's Chanticleer Challenge at 7-1 overall and 1-0 in CUSA play.
FAU will begin play on Friday at 8 a.m. against CUSA foe Tulane. The Owls are 11-4 all-time against Tulane and will look to extend their two-match winning streak over the Green Wave. Florida Atlantic will wrap up Friday's play at 12 p.m. against host Coastal Carolina. FAU is 3-1 all-time against the Chanticleers and will look for back-to-back wins after earning a 3-2 win during the season-opening Beach Burrow Bash earlier this year.
Florida Atlantic will then begin play on Saturday at 10 a.m. in a top-5 battle against No. 4 Cal Poly. It will be the first meeting between the Owls and the Mustangs. The Owls wrap up play at 2 p.m. on Saturday against Georgia State. Georgia State holds a slight 12-11 lead all-time against the Owls as they look to even the series at 12 apiece.
