BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic men's tennis team completed their first day of the 2024 ITA Southeastern Championship, hosted by Georgia and played in Athens, Georgia, celebrating three newcomers and a returner advancing from the round of 64 qualifications to the round of 32.
Four Owls advanced from the Round of 32 qualifier and will return to the courts for day two, where morning outside temperatures are expected to be 45 degrees.
Three of the four Owl doubles teams taking the courts on day one advanced to the next round.
On day one, FAU faced players from Florida State, host Georgia, Georgia Southern, Georgia Tech, Mercer, North Florida, South Florida, Stetson, and UCF.
