Sturdza, Wehle Lead the Way at VCU Shootout

RICHMOND, Va. – Florida Atlantic men's golf finished eighth (-18) at the VCU Shootout on Tuesday. Max Sturdza (-11) tied for fifth individually, his second top five in as many starts so far this fall.

- Sturdza circled another eight birdies on Tuesday to finish the event with 18 total
- Tuesday's shotgun start saw Sturdza begin his day on the par-four seventh. The senior ran into trouble with a seven at the 17th hole but recovered to birdie five of his last seven holes and finish at -11 for the tournament
- The three-under 69 was Sturdza's sixth consecutive round in the 60s.
- The Owls also got a solid round on Tuesday from Jack Wehle who tied a career-best with a two-under 70.
