GREENVILLE, N.C. – Florida Atlantic men's golf is in North Carolina this week for the Ironwood Collegiate Classic hosted by ECU. The 54-hole event begins with two rounds on Monday and concludes with a final 18 holes on Tuesday.
Â
The Owls will hope to get a big boost this week when graduate senior
Alex Maguire returns to the lineup. The Irishman is fresh off a busy summer in Europe where he competed in the 151st Open Championship, the Walker Cup, and several other high-profile events.
Â
Fellow graduate senior
Max Sturdza will look to carry over momentum from the first two fall events where he's finished second and fifth, respectively. Sturdza needs just 10 birdies to tie the Owls' career program record of 279.
Â
FAU will be paired with California Baptist and Appalachian State for the first two rounds. Round one will begin with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. on Monday.
