WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – Florida Atlantic men's golf junior NaShawn Tyson will compete in the PGA WORKS Collegiate Championship beginning Monday at The Park Golf Course in West Palm Beach.
Formerly known as the National Minority Collegiate Championship, the PGA WORKS Collegiate Championship (PWCC) is the most culturally significant championship in collegiate golf. Founded in 1986, the inspiration for the event stemmed from elevating the game at minority colleges and universities. For more than 30 years, the PWCC has set the largest stage for student-athletes to compete at the highest level.
Tyson is one of 15 competing in the men's individual division. The Stuart, Florida native made 11 starts for the Owls this season with three Top 20s. He will tee off at 12:22 p.m. on Monday alongside King University's Carles Calvo Molina and Palm Beach State's Nathan Wong. The event consists of 54 holes spread across three days.
The Park will play as a par 71 at 6,764 yards. Live hole-by-hole scoring can be followed on Golf Genius.
