Owls Finish Strong at American Conference Championship

SARASOTA, Fla. – Florida Atlantic men's golf (+7) finished eighth at the American Conference Championship on Wednesday. The Owls' final round team score of 283 (-5) was a nine-shot improvement from Tuesday's second round and 13 shots lower than Monday's opener. Charlotte finished at -49 to win the team championship.

The Owls racked up the birdies on Wednesday, led by a combined 15 from the trio of Biagio Gagliardi, NaShawn Tyson, and Guilherme Grinberg.
Starting his day on the back nine, Gagliardi eagled the par four 12th and birdied 13, 14, and 16 to begin his round five-under after seven holes.
He would add two more birdies on his second nine to sign for 68 (-4) and move up 16 places into a tie for 21st.
Tyson elevated 15 spots on the leaderboard into a tie for 32nd with a final round 69 that included six birdies.
Grinberg made four birdies on his opening nine and ultimately posted 73 (+1) to tie for 25th.
