JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Florida Atlantic men's soccer drew 1-1 with North Florida on Tuesday morning in a match originally scheduled for Monday night.
Tuesday was expected to be a day of rest and recovery. Instead, after weather washed out Monday's scheduled contest with North Florida, the Owls and Ospreys were up early for a morning kickoff in Jacksonville.
Neither side could find the back of the net in the first half though the Owls did register eight shot attempts with two on goal. UNF eventually broke the deadlock in the 51st minute but FAU responded six minutes later on
Noah Kvifte's third goal of the season.
Tom Abrahamsson and
Victor Claudel provided the assists.
The Owls finished with a 17-10 edge in shot attempts (6-3 on goal).
Rotem Fadida made two saves in goal for the visitors.
The Owls return home to start conference play on Saturday against Tulsa. Kick time is scheduled for 7 p.m.
