BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic University women's track & field 2022-23 season is inching towards the finish line. The Owls head to Jacksonville for their last meet of the regular season, the UNF Invitational from April 28-29.Â

After two weekends off, FAU will look to close out their successful outdoor regular season in style before competing in their final Conference USA Championship.Â

The Owls last competed in the USF Invitational on April 8
th that was highlighted by two first-place finishes.
- Jessica Lambert continued to dominate in the 800m, finishing in first place with the fourth best time in Florida Atlantic history (2:08.86)
- Madlen Kappeler won first place in the 5000m with a time of 17:20.64, good for fourth in school history. Kappeler also finished in fourth in the 1500m (4:44.85)
- Anabell Reumann she finished in second place in the 3000m steeplechase with a time of 10:56.35, the fourth best in FAU historyÂ
- Cara Simpson finished in fifth place with a time of 11.85 in the 100m, now the ninth best time in school history
- Dahlia Barnes placed in 10th in the long jump with a mark of 5.37

- Reumann: 3rd in 3000m steeplechase (10:56.35)
- Lambert: 3rd in 800m (2:07.8), 15th in 400m hurdles (1:05.67)
- Kappeler: 6th in 10000m (36:14.4), 12th in 5000m (17:20.64)
- Rosa Ten Berg: 8th in 800m (2:13.84)
- Simpson: 12th in 200m (24.28), 13th in 100m (11.85)
- Elyssa Toal: 15th in 800m (2:17.38)
- Barnes: 17th in long jump (5.55m)
- 4x400 Relay (Simpson, Lambert, Melissa Mundell, Ten Berg) – 7th (3:50.59)

The C-USA Outdoor Championships will be held from May 11-14 in Denton, Texas. This will be the final time the Owls compete in Conference USA before moving up to the American Athletic Conference beginning in the fall 2023 cross country season. Â
