BOCA RATON, Fla. – Florida Atlantic University men's tennis, ranked No. 58 nationally, fell to host No. 60 USF 4-3, on Wednesday.

The Owls dropped doubles court two but followed with wins on courts one and three to earn the first point of the match. USF tied the match but the Owls retook the lead courtesy of a 6-4, 6-2 win by Alberto Colas on court two, putting FAU up 2-1.

The Owls, 11-9 on the season, saw USF even the contest with a court one win, but the seesaw match fell back to FAU following a 6-3, 6-3 victory by the Owls' Alvaro Fernandez Horta, giving FAU a 3-2 lead. However, USF then tied and pushed past the Owls with wins on courts six and four for the 4-3 final.
