NASHVILLE, Tenn. – With the doubles point in hand, Florida Atlantic University's men's tennis defeated host Vanderbilt 4-1 on Saturday afternoon.

The match was the second in as many days after FAU played Clemson on Friday, but the Owls responded to more lineup adjustments and came away with the victory. Holding the 1-0 lead, Joao Graca pushed the score to 2-0, before the Commodores scored their first and only point. Filip Krolo pulled the Owls within one of clinching, and Kevin Huempfner finished the match for FAU.

QUOTABLE

"Nice team win today," said Ricardo Gonzales, FAU's Director of Tennis. "I'm proud of the boys. There is definitely some improvements on the things we have been working on, we still haven't peaked by any means. We need to continue to put in the work and prepare for the challenges ahead."
