BOCA RATON, Fla. - No. 53 Florida Atlantic University men's tennis, ranked for the first time in 2023, will close out an 11-consecutive match road swing this Friday and Saturday. The team travels to San Antonio, Texas, where they will play host to No. 67 UTSA at 2 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 24 and then No. 66 Wichita State at the same time on Saturday. The Owls hold a 4-0 all-time mark versus UTSA and will square off with the Shockers for the first time.
FAU enters the weekend with a 6-6 record and have seven players currently on a winning streaks, with
Gerard Escandell,
Alvaro Fernandez Horta,
Filip Krolo and
Hunter Robbins each sporting team-longs at two. Robbins enters the weekend with a team best 6-2 record. Krolo is 4-3 as is
Kevin Huempfner, and
Joao Graca is 4-4.
UTSA comes into the Conference USA matchup with a 5-4 record and the momentum of a H-E-B Tournament of Championship title. Wichita State just swept a home doubleheader and holds a 7-5 dual match record.  Â

The Owls will return home with seven matches to play in the regular season, including six at home and the seventh just up the road at Lake Nona, Florida. FAU will play its first home match since January 25th when the team plays host to UCF on Friday, March 3rd.
