BOCA RATON, Fla. – Florida Atlantic University volleyball (19-12, 11-7 AAC) will wrap up its regular-season slate on Wednesday as the Owls visit the Tulane Green Wave for their regular-season finale in New Orleans.
- Florida Atlantic enters their regular season finale second in the AAC East at 19-12 and 11-7 in AAC play.
- The Owls have their eyes set on battling for a chance to secure a share of the AAC East Division championship. Sitting one match back of the Bulls, with a win over Tulane and a USF loss to Rice, the Owls can win a share of the East Division title.
- Florida Atlantic's 19 wins this season marks the most for the Owls since the 2018-19 season and the second most for any Owl team under head coach Fernanda Nelson.
- As a team, the Owls rank second in the AAC in total attacks (4,159), kills (1,537), assists (1,425), and kills per set (13.48), in addition to ranking third in attacks per set (36.48) and assists per set (12.50), and fourth in digs (1,748).
- Arianna Beckham, Katelynn Robine, Valeria Rosado, and Kaila Ru have been the Owls' offensive leaders, averaging 2.92, 2.37, 2.36, and 1.92 kills per set this season.
- Victoria Hensley leads the Owls in assists, averaging 9.11 assists per set through the Owls 31 matches.
- Isabelle Northam has led the Owls' back row this season, averaging a team-best 4.02 digs per set.
- At the net, Lauryn Green and Ru have been the Owls' blocking leaders, averaging 0.87 and 0.84 blocks per set, respectively.
- Tulane enters this weekend at seventh in the AAC East and dead last in the full conference standings.
- As a team, the Green Wave rank fourth in the conference in digs per set (15.69) and fifth in team attacks per set (35.69).
- Avery Burks and Ilayda Demirtas lead the Green Wave offensively, averaging 3.32 and 2.19 kills per set this season.
- The Green Wave feature a 6-2 scheme with two setters. Laura Fiabane leads Tulane in assists with 5.72 assists per set, while Zoe Rachow ranks second for the Green Wave with 4.66 assists per set.
- Defensively, Lauryn Burrows is the Green Wave's leading libero and has recorded 4.32 digs per set this season. Sabrina Skyers and Orsula Staka lead Tulane at the net, averaging 1.07 and 1.01 blocks per set, respectively.
- Wednesday's contest will mark the sixth all-time meeting between Florida Atlantic and Tulane. The Green Wave hold the slight edge, 3-2. In New Orleans, the series remains even at 1-1. Tulane won the last meeting between the Owls and the Green Wave, 3-2, in Boca Raton.
