Owls Earn Home Win Over UAB

BOCA RATON, Fla. – Second half goals from Victor Claudel and Zach Hassell guided Florida Atlantic men's soccer (3-5-3, 2-3 AAC) to a 2-0 win over UAB (0-7-4, 0-4-1 AAC) on Sunday night.
Claudel broke a scoreless deadlock in the 66th minute with a strike from long distance to the top corner. Hassell effectively put the game on ice in the 87th minute after being played in on a through-ball from Noah Kvifte.
UAB had an opportunity to get on the board with just over a minute left in regulation, but the Blazers' spot kick was pulled wide of the goal. Rotem Fadida finished with three saves for the Owls to earn his third clean sheet of the season.
