- The Owls fell 3-0 to Temple on Wednesday night and are now 1-3 in the American.
- Sunday will be just the fourth time this season that the Owls play on their home field (compared to eight times away).
- Noah Kvifte leads the Owls with five goals. The junior is the reigning AAC Offensive Player of the Week.
- Sophomore centerback Chadi Mayati is the reigning AAC Defensive Player of the Week.
- Goalkeeper Rotem Fadida leads the conference in saves and saves per game.

- UAB is still looking for its first win of the season. They'll enter Sunday at 0-6-4 overall and 0-3-1 in the AAC.
- The Blazers have lost the last two both by 1-0 finals – last Friday to Tulsa and Wednesday to FIU.

- The former C-USA opponents have split 12 all-time meetings. The Owls have won the last four including a 1-0 thriller last season.
- The Owls will visit SMU in Dallas next Saturday before returning home to face FIU and Florida Gulf Coast. They close the regular season on November 1 at USF.
