Owls Set for Last Regular Season Meet

BOCA RATON, Fla. – Before Florida Atlantic University cross country competes in their first AAC Championships on Oct. 28, the women's team will travel to the host site at East Carolina University to compete in the Pirate Invitational on Saturday, Oct. 14.

The Owls will race a 6K in a highly competitive field that includes NC State, the No. 1 ranked cross country team in the nation.

The Owls put forth a strong showing at the FSU XC Invite on Sep. 29, with only a 12.8 second spread between the top five runners on the women's team and the men's team concluding their regular season by putting forth one of their best historical finishes at the yearly Tallahassee meet.

Women (6K)

The women's team finished in 11th out of 35 teams
Jordan Stevens was the top finisher for the Owls in 55th place (18:52.9)
Elyssa Toal posted a time of 18:58.2
Leah Helms followed closely behind with a time of 19:00.3
Paige Saiz logged a time of 19:05.6
Anna Rovirosa rounded out scoring with a time of 19:14.2

Men (8K)

Paul Glick was again the top finisher with a time of 27:15.7
Logan Sallas (27:48.5), Luke Gaudet (27:49.6), and Leo Lamour (27:50) finished consecutively
Sam Henery recorded a time of 27:58.6

Cross country will regroup, this time with both teams on hand, back in Grimesland for the 2023 American Athletic Conference Championships on Saturday, Oct. 29.
