GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic University track & field team concluded their two-day meet at the RADD Sports Invitational on Friday. The Owls continued their strong start to the season, with a school record being broken by
Jessica Lambert for the second weekend in a row.
Coach Georgette Nixon on this weekend's meet
"This weekend has continued to show growth amongst the team. A lot of hard work was put in the fall and now it's time to fine-tune our technique and race strategies for competitions. They are entering each meet HUNGRY and their hard work is starting to show.
"Again, Jess is hungry and has big goals. Every time she steps on the track, she gives it her all. Second meet of the season and she is ranked #8 in the NCAA in the 800m. I know what she is capable of so I'm excited to get back to work to continue to improve. The entire team is on the rise!"
