Cross Country to Host Eighth Annual FAU Invitational

BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic University men's and women's cross country teams will host the eighth annual FAU Invitational on Friday. This will mark the only home race for the Owls in the 2022 fall season.

In the most recent FAU Invite in 2021, The Owls made it through an hour-long lightning delay for a fourth place finish for the women and a fifth place finish for the men.

The race will be held at South County Regional Park. The Men's 7K will begin at 6 p.m. followed by the Women's 5k at 6:30 p.m.

- Madlen Kappeler helped propel the Owls to victory with an individual first-place finish in a field of 113 runners (18:23.6)
- Casey O'Connor rounded out the top five and set a new personal best (18:52.7)
- Erin Shannon finished in 14th place (19:36)
