HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – The Florida Atlantic University baseball team (31-21, 16-11 C-USA) concludes the regular season this weekend with a three-game series against Marshall (20-31-1, 9-13-1). The Owls enter the weekend seventh in C-USA but could jump as high as second if results from around the league fall in their favor.

OWLS IN REVIEW

The Owls are coming off a long weekend of baseball with Mother Nature wreaking havoc on the final home series of the season. FAU fell to Charlotte on Friday night by a final of 10-3. Saturday's game was delayed after one inning and didn't resume until Sunday morning. Eventually, after 15 innings, Dylan Goldstein's walk off single gave the Owls a 10-9 victory. The 49ers would rally back to take the series finale in seven innings.

THE OWLS' OPPONENT

Marshall was swept by Old Dominion last weekend. The Herd have dropped six straight entering the final series of the regular season.

Luke Edwards' 12 home runs and 50 RBI are both team highs. The junior has reached base in 61 straight games dating back to last season.

Patrick Copen has been the Herd's game one starter all season, but he's expected to go in game two this week. He went 5.2 last week against ODU, allowing five runs but only one of which was earned. Copen's 5.16 ERA is a team best.

FAU has won seven straight against Marshall and leads the all-time series 15-4. In four games last season, the Owls outscored the Thundering Herd 35-11. Hunter Cooley pitched a seven-inning complete game shutout in the finale of last season's four-game sweep,
