BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic University women's track & field team will head to San Antonio this weekend to compete in the 2022 Outdoor Conference USA Track & Field Championships. After the meet begins Thursday, the Owls will first compete a day later on Friday. This meet will conclude their 2022 outdoor season.

- The Owls closed out the regular season portion of the schedule with the UNF Invitational in Jacksonville
- Madlen Kappeler placed sixth in the 1500m run invite (17:18.98), good for the fourth best time in FAU history
- Jessica Lambert's incredible season continued with a 10th place finish in the 800m (2:11.12). Her time places fifth in FAU history
- Casey O'Connor placed 10th in the 1500m run (4:42.53)
- Cara Simpson placed 19th in the 100m run (11.85). Her time is good for seventh in school history
- Breyanna Chambliss – Tied for 15th in long jump (5.67)
- Alexis Hill – 7th in 10000m (39:30.33), 13th in 3000m steeplechase (11:57.07)
- Kaitlyn Kirby – Tied for 15th in long jump (5.67), 14th in 100m hurdles (14:42)
- Kappeler – 12th in 1500m (17:18.98)
- Lambert – 7th in 800m (2:10.78), 13th in 400m hurdles (1:03.70)
- Erin Shannon – 12th in 3000m steeplechase (11:51.03)
- Morgan Sharp – 8th in 10000m (39:48.53)
- Simpson – 7th in 100m (11.78), 15th in 200m (24.35), 16th in 400m (56.94)
- 4x100 relay (Chambliss, Abraiya Elam, Simpson, Eriana Teague) – 8th (46.90)
- 4x400 relay (Lambert, Mundell, Simpson, Teague) – 2nd (3:46.77)

The Owls will begin their competition in the C-USA championships this Friday, May 13 and wrap up their season Sunday, May 15.
