#50 FAU Wins Two in Two Days

NEW ORLEANS, La. – The Florida Atlantic University men's tennis team, ranked No. 50 nationally, moved to 17-4 on the season with a 4-1 win over host Tulane, on Friday evening.

The Owls picked up the first point of the match with winds on doubles courts one and three.

The two teams then moved into clinch singles play where the Owls dropped court four and then ran the table on courts one, two and three therefore FAU didn't need courts five and six for the 4-1 win. Kevin Huempfner won court one 6-1, 6-4. Carles Sarrio captured court two 6-4, 6-2 and Alvaro Fernandez Horta secured court three 6-4, 6-4.

The Owls defeated Louisiana on Thursday, Tulane on Friday and will attempt to capture the third road contest in as many days on Saturday versus South Alabama.
