No. 10 Sandy Owls Set to Host Paradise Invite

BOCA RATON, Fla. – The No. 10th-ranked Florida Atlantic University beach volleyball team (15-8, 6-1 in Conference USA) will host its final home tournament of the 2022 season. The FAU Paradise Invitational will feature No. 20 Florida Gulf Coast, Palm Beach Atlantic and Saint Leo. FAU will look to stay perfect at home this season with four matches played across Friday and Saturday. The Owls will also host Senior Day prior to Saturday's 3 p.m. match against FGCU.

Saint Leo is also approaching its final weekend of their regular season with a 19-7 mark, while enjoying a 13-match winning streak
Last weekend, the Lions took down Southeastern twice with a 5-0 win and 4-1 victory

FGCU came in at No. 20 in the latest AVCA Coaches Poll, as the Eagles are coming into the weekend with an 18-5 record
The Eagles have tallied wins over No. 17 Stetson (4-1), North Florida (3-2) and Tampa (3-2)
Emma Hansen/Kaitlyn Luebbers lead the team with a 17-4 record, 6-2 on court four, 11-2 on court five
The court one pair of Maddison Parmelly/Kacie Johnson are an impressive 15-6

UNF Invite Recap

The Owls finished their weekend in Jacksonville with a 3-1 record
FAU began the weekend with a 3-2 win over No. 11 Georgia State, the Owls' second win over the Panthers in the past two weeks. Ellie Austin/Julie Honzovicova clinched the match on court three, 21-13, 21-17
The Owls dropped their match to No. 4 Florida State, 5-0
On Saturday, FAU elevated past No. 18 Pepperdine with a 3-2 win. Courtney Moon/Marketa Svozilova clinched the match with a three-set win, 19-21, 21-17, 15-12
FAU finished the weekend with a 3-0 win over tournament host North Florida. Due to a lightening delay, the match was played until one team clinched. The Owls got the job done in three following a 15-21, 21-18, 15-6 win on court three by Austin/Honzovicova

FAU will put a wrap to the 2022 regular season at FIU next Friday, April 15, as the Owls will face Tulane at 12:30 p.m. followed by a 3 p.m. match against FIU.
