HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – The No. 10th ranked (1) Florida Atlantic University beach volleyball team (22-9) saw its nine-game winning streak snapped, as the Owls fell to (3) No. 15 Georgia State in the Conference USA Championship Semifinals. FAU was up 2-0 in the match, but fell in courts three, four and five, as the Panthers went on to win. The Owls will move to the loser bracket and play (2) FIU at 10 a.m. ET for a chance to advance to the championship title game.

Court five's Mica Allison/Logan Mignerey dropped set one first, but FAU earned wins on courts one, two, three and four. Courtney Moon/Marketa Svozilova came back from yesterday's loss to finish their match first 21-12, 21-15. The Owls then went up 2-0 with a straight-set victory from Erica Brok/Mackenzie Morris, 24-22, 21-12. Courts three, four and five all went to three sets with FAU just needing one more point. FAU would then drop their third sets on three and four, as GSU tied up the match. In a back-to-back hard-fought match on court five, Mica Allison/Logan Mignerey just fell short to lose, 12-21, 22-20, 15-17.
