BOCA RATON, Fla. – The No. 10th-ranked Florida Atlantic University beach volleyball team (21-8, 7-1 in Conference USA) will partake in the first ever C-USA Beach Volleyball Championship this weekend. The conference championship will take place at the John Hunt Park Sand Volleyball Complex in Huntsville, Alabama from April 28 to 30 in conjunction with the Coastal Collegiate Sports Association. As the No. 1 seed, the Owls receive a first-round bye and will play the winner of No. 4-seed UAB vs. No. 5-seed Coastal Carolina on Thursday at 2:30 p.m. Eastern.

- GSU is 22-11 and is coming into the tournament riding on an eight-match winning streak
- The Panthers' biggest wins this season have come against No. 18 South Carolina (4-1), No. 20 Florida Gulf Coast and (RV) Tulane

- The Blazers have faced a tough schedule all season long, coming into the weekend with a 15-16 record, 3-4 in C-USA
- UAB has closed out the regular season winning 10 of their last 12 matches
- Rachel Tam/Adriana Pereira have played every match together on court one to compile an 18-12 record
Coastal Carolina
- Coastal Carolina is 18-14 going into the postseason
- The Chanticleers are led by Natalie Honzovicova/Ellie Hanford, who are 18-4 across flights two and three. Irena Drobnjak/Ellie Hanford went 8-1 on flight two late in the season
Southern Miss
- The Golden Eagles are 11-24, having played several ranked opponents throughout the season
- Kai Norman/Valeria Siakidou leads the team with a 13-14 mark mostly on court five. Aleksandra "Ola" Chudzik and Breleigh Favre have an 8-7 record on court one
ULM
- ULM has a 10-20 record
- Elizabeth Moreland/Brooke Hoven led all ULM pairs with 12 wins, mostly among courts three and four

- The Owls closed out the season on a high note with two 5-0 sweeps against (RV) Tulane and No. 15 FIU at the FIU Beach Bash Tournament
- FAU won 5-0 against Tulane with straight-set wins among courts one through three
- The Owls closed out the tournament with a dominating 5-0 win over FIU, marking the Owls' first sweep over the Panthers in school history. All five courts were won in straight sets
