BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic University track & field team is set to compete at the Tom Jones Memorial Meet at the University of Florida this weekend. This will be the last meet before a week off for the Owls as they move towards the end of the regular season with their sight set on the Conference USA Championships in May.

Last Time Out

Last weekend at the Miami Alumni Invitational saw many solid performances from the Owls.
Kaitlyn Kirby represented the Owls well in the heptathlon, where she won the shot put with a mark of 11.62, both her personal best and fifth all time in school history
Cara Simpson's day was highlighted by placing fourth in the 100m run. In in the 100m (11.78). This time is now good for fifth in school history.
Casey O'Connor finished in eighth place in the 800m run (2:18.59)
Beyonce Green set a new personal best in the 400m run (58.35)
The 4x100 relay team (Breyanna Chambliss, Abraiya Elam, Simpson, Eriana Teague) finished with their season best time (47.07)

Following the Tom Jones Memorial Meet, the Owls will have a well-deserved weekend off before heading to their final regular season meet at the University of North Florida on April 29-30.
