SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – The Florida Atlantic University men's tennis team played its second match in as many days in Santa Barbara, California, this time versus host UC Santa Barbara. Following a Sunday win over Santa Clara, the Owls fell to No. 56 Santa Barbara 4-2, on Monday.

The Owls' record falls to 9-2 on the season, while UC Santa Barbara moves to 10-4 on the year. FAU's Kevin Huempfner has been perfect playing at either Nos. 1 or 2. On Monday, the junior fell on court one, 6-0, 6-3, to move his record to 8-1. In doubles play, Huempfner and partner Filip Krolo were victorious on court two and moved their dual-match record to 6-3 on the year.

Monday's winners were Carles Sarrio and Alvaro Fernandez Horta. They moved their 2022 records to 6-5 and 8-2, respectively.

The Owls will continue their Spring Break trip on Wednesday, March 9th at 1 p.m. when the Owls play at San Diego.
