LYNCHBURG, Va. – The Florida Atlantic University men's tennis team, ranked No. 60 nationally, has played five matches, four of which were ranked opponents, in the last 10 days and four were on the road. The latest opponent was No. 71 Liberty, which FAU dispatched 4-3 on Saturday, despite a weather delay.

The Owls currently hold a 14-4 record and are winning at a clip of 78%. That winning percentage is the program's second highest since FAU finished 21-5 (.808) in 2001.

Both Alvaro Fernandez Horta and Finn Stodder picked up wins on Saturday giving the duo 12 wins on the season. Fernandez Horta's record stands at 12-3 while Stodder is 12-2. Kevin Huempfner is close behind holding an 11-2 record.

"Another tough 4-3 win on the road this time against a great Liberty team. It was a great road trip for our team, picking up three wins and against ranked opponents. We need to do a better job of taking care of opportunities so that we can close out matches quicker. Many of the matches that we won in three sets, we could have won in two sets.
