BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic University men's tennis team, ranked No. 67 in the latest national poll, played its second match in as many days, and on Thursday, the Owls came away with the 5-2 win over Conference USA member UTSA, ranked No. 70 in the same poll.

While it was the first 2022 win over a C-USA foe, it was FAU's 11th on the year (11-3), which marks the sixth time in Ricardo Gonzales' FAU head coaching career the Owls have secured double-digit wins.

Once again, the Owls played with a little different lineup in both doubles and singles, but the shakeup didn't affect the outcome of the match, as it only served to build depth for down the road.

Despite playing up, Alvaro Fernandez Horta and Finn Stodder recorded wins, both becoming the first 2022 Owls to record double digit-dual match singles wins. Horta's record stands at 10-2 and he is riding a five-match winning streak. Stodder is 10-1 and he is on a three-match winning streak.
