BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic University men's tennis has inked a third experienced player to join the squad in the Fall of 2023, with the addition of Jiri Jenicek, announced Ricard Gonzalez, FAU's director of Tennis on Tuesday.
"I'm excited to welcome Jiri to our family," said
Ricardo Gonzalez, FAU's director of tennis. "I met Jiri for the first time at the Orange Bowl Tournament about three years ago. I have always been impressed with his potential. To be able to get a few years of eligibility out of him is amazing. I can't wait to work with him. He is a perfect fit to our team and will bring a log of experience to the table. I'm confident his best years are ahead of him."
Jenicek, who will come to FAU as an international graduate transfer, has climbed as high as 1143 in ATP singles and currently holds a 919 ATP doubles rank. He has won three M15 tournaments in doubles and two in singles play.
