Red-Hot Owls Look to Win 10th in a Row

BOCA RATON, Fla. – On Wednesday night, the Florida Atlantic University men's basketball team will welcome Northern Kentucky to town. FAU is riding a school record nine-game winning streak heading into the final non-conference game of the season.

Historic Start for FAU

The Owls enter Wednesday night's matchup at 10-1 and are receiving votes in the USA Today Coaches Poll for the first time in program history. In the Conference USA opener against FIU, the Owls dominated the Panthers, 79-53 to set the program record for longest winning streak.

Alijah Martin led FAU in scoring for the third-consecutive game with 18 points. Johnell Davis recorded his second double-double of the season with 13 points and 10 boards, while Vladislav Goldin scored 12 points on 5-of-6 shooting from the field and grabbed eight rebounds.

Stats & Notes

Perhaps the most impressive part about FAU's win streak has been the margin of victory. On the season, the Owls rank 10th in that category in the nation with a mark of +18.8 points per game. The Owls have not played a close game since the first one of the winning streak, which was the two-point win over Florida. Since then, the Owls have won every game by at least double digits and 5 games by 20 points or more
