OXFORD, Miss. –  The second game of the Florida Atlantic University men's basketball team's season brings the Owls to Oxford, Mississippi. FAU will square off against Ole Miss on Friday, Nov. 11, at 7 p.m. eastern. The game will be available to watch on SEC Network/ESPN+ and to listen to on FoxSports 640 AM South Florida.

The Owls are fresh off a dominant season-opening win over Lynn by an 81-46 final score.
Johnell Davis paced FAU with 15 points on 5-of-8 shooting from the floor. Davis added five rebounds and a team-high three steals.

Playing in his first game in 606 days was
Nick Boyd, who tallied 10 points on 4-of-7 shooting from the floor along with a team-high five assists.

In his first game as an Owl,
Jalen Gaffney recorded 10 points coming off the bench on 4-of-6 shooting from the field. Gaffney added four rebounds and three assists.

The Owls out-muscled the Fighting Knights with a 50-28 edge in rebounding, a 42-16 lead in points in the paint and an 18-6 edge in second chance points.

The trip to Oxford marks a homecoming for a few Owls. Assistant coach
Todd Abernethy played for Ole Miss from 2004-07 and was an assistant coach for the Rebels from 2014-18. During his playing career, Abernethy earned All-SEC honors in his senior season and scored 1,036 points.

Alijah Martin and
Brandon Weatherspoon are both Mississippi natives, with Martin hailing from Summit and Weatherspoon being from Canton.

FAU continues its SEC road trip this weekend, as the Owls will head to Gainesville to take on the Florida Gators on Nov. 14.
