TULSA, Okla. – The Florida Atlantic University men's soccer team will face its toughest challenge yet when they travel to Oklahoma on Wednesday for a meeting with No. 12 Tulsa.
ABOUT THE OWLS
- The Owls are 2-0-1 in conference play and sitting atop the AAC standings
- They earned their first road victory of the season on Saturday against UCF
- It was the Owls' first win over the Knights since 2008
- A pair of Owls earned their place on this week's AAC Honor Roll – Blake Dean scored the game-winning goal in the second half and Axel Hofmann stood tall in goal making seven saves
- FAU's is looking for its first three-match winning streak of the season
- The Owls have three wins over Top 20 teams since 2019 – in 2021, they knocked off No. 4 Marshall in the C-USA semifinals and in 2019 they defeated No. 17 James Madison in the season opener and No. 15 Marshall later in the year
ABOUT THE GOLDEN HURRICANS
- Tulsa is 5-1-2 overall and 1-1-1 in the AAC – with a victory on Wednesday, they would tie the Owls with seven points
- Last time out, the Golden Hurricanes played to a scoreless draw with UAB
- Junior forward Alex Meinhard leads the team in both goals (5) and assists (3)
- Head coach Tom McIntosh is in his 28th season with the program

- FAU and Tulsa have met once before – UT prevailed in 3-0 in Boca Raton in 2013
