BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic University men's tennis team, which finished last season ranked No. 49 and lost just one player, returns to action this weekend when the Owls travel to Tallahassee, Florida where they will participate in the 2022 ITA Regional Tournament.
Play will open on Thursday for participants to qualify for the main draw. On Friday, the main singles draw, or the round of 64, will begin as will the doubles main draw, or round of 32. The tournament, which also will have a consolation bracket, is scheduled to end on Monday, Oct. 24.
FAU players attempting to qualify on Thursday include
Hunter Robbins (9 a.m. on court 3),
Gerard Escandell (9 a.m. court 4), and
Finn Stodder (9 a.m. court 5). Once players advance, they will play again on Thursday at 1 p.m.
The main draw will begin on Friday. FAU participants that have already qualified include
Filip Krolo,
Kevin Huempfner, and
Joao Graca in the top half. Competing in the bottom half are
Nicolas Acevedo and
Nicolas Jadoun.
