Owls to Open 2022 at Army Invite

BOCA RATON, Fla. – Florida Atlantic University men's tennis is set to open the 2022 season this weekend when the Owls travel to West Point, New York for three dual matches, all hosted by Army as part of the Arthur Ashe Invitational.

FAU is scheduled to play two dual matches on Saturday. The Owls will open with Illinois State at noon and will then play invite host Army at 2 p.m. The weekend will wrap up Sunday versus DePaul in a match scheduled for 9 a.m.

The Owls will be led by two players who broke into the nation's individual rankings last fall. Kevin Huempfner ended the 2021 fall season at No. 114, while Carles Sarrio completed his fall with a No. 103 national ranking.
