Owls will split playing sites
BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic University men's tennis team will open its 2021-22 schedule this weekend, with players potentially representing the Owls at three locations, and will do so as a squad returning each of the members from one year ago.
The fall season represents tournament play where players are afforded the opportunity to build upon their national ranks as well as professional future tournaments, where prize money rather than ranking is the incentive.
This weekend there are three opportunities to catch the Owls. The majority of the squad will travel to Macon, Georgia for the Mercer Gridiron Classic, scheduled for this Saturday and Sunday. The annual ITA event will run Oct. 2-10 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, as an invite-only tourney, and at least two members will remain home this weekend, electing to play in the Naples Futures, scheduled for Oct. 4.
