– The Florida Atlantic University men's soccer team (4-1-1, 0-0-1 Conference USA) is set for their home C-USA opener against Old Dominion (2-3-1, 0-0-1 C-USA) Saturday night. First touch for the match is set for 7 p.m. at FAU Soccer Stadium.

- The Owls come into the match 4-1-1 with a 0-0-1 league mark after drawing with Coastal Carolina last Tuesday
- Strikers Ivan Mykhailenko and Filip Jauk lead the team with three goals for six points apiece
- Jauk is coming off being named C-USA Offensive Player of the Week following a two-goal performance in the Owls' 3-2 comeback victory over Florida Gulf Coast
- Tom Abrahamsson, Alonso Coello Camarero and Luis Sailer Fidalgo each have two assists, which is the team's most
- Neil Strauber has started in all six matches in goal to accumulate 568 minutes. He has started 18 straight matches in goal, while posting a 1.43 goals against average, 30 saves and one shutout

- In 2019, FAU defeated ODU in a game straight out of a movie. With the Owls' 4-3 overtime victory over the Monarchs, FAU punched a ticket to the C-USA Championships for the first time in school history. Alastuey delivered the game-winner in that match off a free kick taken at the 97th minute

- Despite being outshot 24-4 in the match, the Owls held the lead until the 79th minute when the Chanticleers found the back of the net for the equalizer
- Strauber captured a career-high 10 saves in the match, including big stops on CCU's attempts for the game-winning goal
