BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic University men's and women's cross country teams are in Tallahassee for the Florida State University XC Open set for tomorrow morning, Friday. This marks the Owls' second race of the year following their home opener on the first of this month.

The men's 8K will begin at 7:40 a.m. with the women following with the 6K at 8:10 a.m. The race will be held at Apalachee Regional Park.

Women
- The team finished in fourth place, out of 10 teams, with 109 points out of 10 teams at the FAU XC Invitational
- Casey O'Conner was the top finisher for the women, crossing the finish line with a personal record of 19:23.90 to claim 16th place in the 5K
- Morgan Sharp was the next finisher in 18th place (19:28.40)

Men
- FAU placed fifth out of seven teams
- Preston Dunn was the leading Owl finisher with a personal record 16:40.00 in the 5K for 18th place
- Jericho Cooey was the next Owl to cross the finish line for 32nd place and a personal record time of 17:22.00

The women's team will compete in the UCF Invitational next on Friday, Oct. 1 at 6 p.m. The men will enjoy almost a month off with their next race being back in Tallahassee for the FSU Pre-Nationals on Friday, Oct. 15.
