Soccer Continues on the Road at No. 14 Charlotte

BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic University men's soccer team (5-3-2, 2-3-0 in Conference USA) will embark on another tough road test, this time at No. 14 Charlotte (4-2-1, 4-0-0 C-USA). This marks FAU's second to last match of the regular season with first touch set for 2 p.m. at Transamerica Field.

FAU will host one final match of the regular season on Saturday, April 17, as the Owls face UAB at 1 p.m. Senior Day will take place prior to first touch.

About the Owls
- FAU posts a winning record of 5-3-2, while tallying a 2-3 mark in C-USA play
- The Owls went into the C-USA slate with an undefeated record achieved in non-conference play, 3-0-2
- FAU is outscoring opponents 12-9, while also having an edge in shots, 97-90
- Ivan Mykhailenko leads the team with four goals for eight points, while taking a team's most 20 shots with 13 of those on goal. The striker is 31st in shot accuracy and 35th in shots per game in the NCAA

About the 49ers
- The 49ers are ranked No. 14 in the country in the recent United Soccer Coaches Poll after a perfect 4-0 conference start, 4-2-1 overall
- Charlotte has gotten off almost twice as many shots (102 as opposed to 51) and has outscored the opposition, 12-7
- Preston Popp leads the charge with four goals for eight points, while Alex Willis has tallied three goals and two assists on the year
- Daniel Kuzemka and Austin Mullins have shared time at net. Kuzemka has a 2-2-1 record with a 1.34 goals against average and 13 saves, while Mullins posts a 2-0-0 mark with no goals allowedÂ
Match History Against Charlotte
- FAU trails in the series, 7-1, and is looking for its first win over the squad since 2003 when the Owls took down the 49ers, 4-1
- The Owls have since fallen in each match since becoming C-USA foes with the most recent game being a 3-1 loss to the ninth-ranked 49ers. Arturo Ernand delivered the Owls' lone goal in the match
