BOCA RATON, Fla. – Florida Atlantic University women's soccer takes on the only team ahead of them in the current Conference USA East Division standings Friday, WKU. The Owls' home C-USA opener is set for a 7 p.m. kickoff at FAU Soccer Stadium.

Owls' Weekend in Review
FAU (2-2-1, 1-0-0 C-USA) pulled off a comeback road win in their first conference match, 2-1 over Marshall last Friday night. Amanda Martin headed in the equalizer off a corner, and a Thundering Herd own goal was the go-ahead score.

Owls' Weekend in Preview
As part of a four-match win streak, WKU (4-1-0, 2-0-0 C-USA) has posted two league victories. After defeating Middle Tennessee on the road, 3-1, they swept last weekend, against FIU at home (4-3) and Centre College (1-0) as well. The Lady Toppers have 13 goals, led by Ambere Barrett's four. She also has two assists, towards 10 points, fifth in C-USA.

Opponent History
WKU holds a 6-3-2 lead in the all-time series. The squads haven't met since the 2017 season, when in Bowling Green, the Lady Toppers won, 1-0. The previous season, the Owls came away with a 1-0 victory of their own in Boca Raton.

What's Next
The weekly league schedule continues, away from home, next Friday at Old Dominion. The following Friday, March 26, the Owls host Charlotte at FAU Soccer Stadium. Admission is free, but is very limited, and only on a first-come, first-serve basis.
