BOCA RATON, Fla. – Florida Atlantic women's soccer Head Coach
Patrick Baker has added to the team's staff for the upcoming season, as he is proud to announce the hiring of Assistant Coach
Charles Mueller.

"I am beyond grateful for the opportunity to work with such a great program and alongside Coach Baker and Coach (Kat) Cunningham," said Mueller. "The team and staff have been extremely welcoming, and Boca Raton is a lovely place to be. I am really looking forward to getting the season started and being part of such a high-level environment. The goal is excellence, and we are going to do everything we can to achieve it. Go Owls!"
Mueller comes to Paradise from the Volunteer State, where he served in a variety of coaching roles. For One Knoxville SC of United Soccer League (USL) League One, he worked as assistant goalkeeping director for the club. Prior to that, he was the One Knox FC Women's assistant and goalkeeper coach, and worked in that same role for both the MLS Next U19 and U17 squads. He was also a USL Academy Team assistant and goalkeeper coach for Two Knox.
He also brings collegiate coaching experience to FAU, as both an assistant coach, primarily working with goalkeepers, at Carson-Newman University in Jefferson City, Tennessee, as well as a volunteer goalkeeper coach at Lincoln Memorial University in Knoxville, Tennessee.
While attending the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, Mueller was the club president and playing coach for the Volunteers' Men's Soccer Club and served as team manager for the women's soccer team. He earned his Bachelor of Science from the school in recreation/sport management, with a minor in business administration.
"We are very excited to have
Charles Mueller join our women's soccer staff," said Baker. "He is a talented young goalkeeper coach and brings a number of new insights to our program. I am looking forward to seeing him work with and develop our current group of goalkeepers."
Mueller will make his FAU coaching debut on the sidelines of the on-campus football stadium when the Owls host FIU on Aug. 12 at Flagler Credit Union Stadium.
