– The Florida Atlantic University swimming & diving teams will compete in the TYR Fall Classic hosted by FIU this weekend. The two-day meet will start at 5 p.m. on Friday and 10 a.m. on Saturday.

The Owls have swam several top times in the Coastal Collegiate Sports Association, as FAU owns eight of the league's fastest times this season.
Alec Peckmann has the top marks in the 200 free (1:41.03) and 200 IM (1:51.43), while
Rateb Hussein owns the best times in the 50 fly (22.72), 100 fly (48.92) and 200 fly (1:51.43).
Maximiliano Ahumada has the league's best 50 back time (24.03). The 400 free relay squad of Hussein, Ahumada, Peckmann, and
Peter Tanner, Jr.'s best time of 3:04.80 leads the CCSA. The 200 medley relay team of Hussein, Tanner,
Nick Shaffer, and
Quinn LaCoursiere leads the league as well with a top time of 1:31.92.
On the women's side, the Owls are owners of five second-best times in Conference USA this season.
Maggie Casey ranks second in the 200 free (1:53.14) and 500 free (5:05.53), while
Kirsten Hobson ranks second in the 1000 free (10:38.82).
Riley Trout has swam the second-fastest time in the 200 back (2:05.77), and
Dolores Margni ranks second in the 200 fly (2:03.74).

The Owls garnered three conference honors this past week. On the men's side, Hussein earned CCSA Swimmer of the Week recognition, and on the women's side, Trout and
Alicia Mora were named C-USA Swimmer and Diver of the week, respectively. FAU has won five total conference awards so far during the young season.

Next up on the schedule for the Owls is a home meet against Keiser on Oct. 15.
