BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic University women's track & field team will hit the road to compete at the Bob Pollock Invitational hosted at Clemson University this weekend. This meet marks the Owls' last regular-season indoor tune-up before the 2021 Conference USA Indoor Track & Field Championships.

Blazer Invite
- Marisha Thompson claimed first in the 1000m (2:59.43) in her inaugural indoor collegiate race to capture the second best time in program history. Casey O'Connor followed Thompson in third (3:02.61)
- Jessica Lambert ran the 600m in 1:35.00 to log fourth place, falling just short of the school record
- Cara Simpson advanced to finals in the 60m dash (7.75) to claim seventh place. She hit a new personal record in the event's prelims (7.74), which stands as the third best time in C-USA. Simpson also finished fourth in the long jump (5.47m)
- Madlen Kappeler took third in the 3000m run (10:06.29), which stands as the fourth best in the conference

Vulcan Invite
- Simpson ran the 60m dash once again to place seventh (7.76)
- Thompson finished the mile in 5:15.14 and O'Connor followed (5:19.25) to finish fifth and sixth, respectively
- The 4x400m relay team of Roshelle Francois, Simpson, Lambert and Venice Stewart came in fourth (3:53.49)

Thompson was recognized as the C-USA Track Athlete of the Week following the opening weekend's meets at UAB. The freshman led the way in the 1000m at the Blazer Invite and took fifth in the mile at the Vulcan Invite in her first pair of indoor meets as a collegiate runner.
