Owl Letters - Capri Grotowski - Florida Atlantic University Athletics

Collegiate athletics came to a halt in mid-March. With social distancing, remote work schedules and the inability to gather to cheer on our favorite teams, came a void. The void of seeing our favorite teams compete; the void of watching our favorite student-athletes grow and improve.

Florida Atlantic athletics recognizes that void and has seized the opportunity by providing an opportunity for fans to get to know the FAU athletes and coaches in a series called "Owl Letters." It is just one of the #WinningInParadise series that FAUSports.com will bring to you, our loyal fans.

Hi,

My name is Capri Grotowski. I'm the head women's beach volleyball coach at FAU. I think coaching really found me because when I was in college, after we graduated, a couple of my teammates mentioned that 'We know you were going to be a coach all along.'
So, here I am coming up to my seventh season at FAU, and I wouldn't change a day in my life. It's been so great. We've had so much support. I love being with my athletes, watching them grow from high school graduates to young ladies, and it's been amazing. I met my husband playing beach volleyball, and now we have two kids that actually go to FAU A.D. Henderson. So, it's a lot of fun, it's paradise like no other.
