BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic University men's basketball team finishes up the regular season on Wednesday night at Marshall.
ABOUT THE OWLS
- FAU can clinch its second straight winning season with a victory against the Thundering Herd on Wednesday
- Junior forward Jailyn Ingram enters Wednesday's game 15 rebounds away from becoming just the fourth player in program history to score 1,000 points and grab 500 rebounds (Carlos Monroe, Damon Arnette, Mike Bell)
- Ingram is currently 10th in school history with 1,020 career points
- The Owls (16-14, 8-9 C-USA) overcame an 11-point second half deficit to force overtime against Old Dominion on Sunday, but came up short in the extra session, losing 85-80
- Ingram led FAU with 19 points, Cornelius Taylor scored 11 and Aleksandar Zecevic and Michael Forrest each had 10
- Marshall has won seven of the 10 all-time meetings
- The Owls beat the Herd 91-73 earlier this season in Boca Raton
- FAU is 1-4 all-time in Huntington
- Sophomore guard Tavion Kinsey leads the Herd at 16.1 points per game. He has been even better in C-USA play, averaging almost 18 a game
- Junior guard Jarrod West is second on the team, averaging 14.5 per outing
- The Owls head to the 2020 Conference USA Tournament in Frisco, Texas, which begins on Wednesday, March 11.
